I am so frustrated I was banded 7/21/11 and have lost 23 pounds, some of that was from the pre-op diet. I have had 6 fills. I am not even really sure how much I have in there because at one point the PA-C pulled all the fluid out to see how much was there and she said 5cc but said not all of the fluid will come out when you do this, so it was an approx number. I feel a little restriction after my last fill. I am worried that they will fill it to its capacity and I will still have no restriction. I want to lose 30 more pounds. Please some one tell me this is normal. I have an appt in two weeks, for another fill, she said she will only do half a cc from this point on because she doesn't want to go over board.

I have had my band since 06/22/11 first fill was almost 6wks after, I stopped loosing wieght since November and like you I had fills almost every 3-4 weeks, I feel little restriction and can eat a lot of food if I chew real slow. I had 1/2cc added 5 days ago and I finally started losing some wieght again...I am very tight to the point of having acid reflux and heart burn constantly. I know I was not eating healthy and I was eating almost normal size meals but now only 3-6 oz every 3-4 hrs. BTW this is my second band, I had lapband before and It prolapsed and had to be removed and I gained all 100lbs I had lost plus 20 more...I have now the Realize band and I can tell is very different b/c I don't throw up as often before it was 4 days a week on liquids and then soft, mashed, and when back on solids started throwing up again...hope my story helps a little and maybe u can discuss having fills scheduled a little more often I know they can go every 3-6 weeks
